News You Can Use: A Guide to Tracking Prospects with News Alerts

Bio: Catherine Cefalu is a Lead Research Analyst at the University of Chicago; she started at the University in 2007 and joined its Prospect Research team in 2010. She holds a B.A. from the State University of New York at Geneseo, and is a current master’s student in philanthropic studies at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Catherine is a member of the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA), APRA Illinois, and the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action.

Webinar Summary: As the field of advancement research focuses more on proactive work, tracking prospects in real-time is vital. This session will cover the techniques for setting up news alerts on existing prospects, methods of disseminating the information within your organization, as well as tips and tricks for finding new prospects.
