Session Description:
This session will help you learn about RSS feeds, blogs, social networking sites, wikis, second life, and web 2.0 services in various forms. Also will discuss what they are, and how advancement departments use them to discover, research and reach out to potential donors.

Speaker Biography:
Stephanie Hilson is part of an awesome five-member team of prospect researchers at McMaster University. Prior to her work at Mac she was the research librarian with AIC Investments Services portfolio group for five years. She has worked at the TSX when it was still referred to as the Toronto Stock Exchange, BMO Nesbit Burns and Watson Wyatt Canada. Stephanie has written for APRA Canada's The Scoop and was the co-editor of SLA-Toronto's quarterly publication The Courier. In addition to APRA, she is a member of the Special Libraries Association and the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals. Stephanie and her family live close to Mac and can be found most Saturdays at the new Braley Athletic Centre wearing the maroon and grey while watching some sort of varsity sport. GO MARAUDERS!!
