Passport to Global Prospects

Session Description:
This session will cover researching global prospects, with a focus on Europe and Asia. Suzy and Katherine will discuss the philanthropic environment in each region, and present useful resources to consult. In addition, techniques for uncovering global prospects will be provided.

This session will be useful for those new to international research and those looking for new ideas when researching prospects in Europe and Asia. The level of this session is basic to intermediate.

Speakers:
Suzy Mack
Suzy Mack joined SickKids Foundation in August 2006. She has worked as a development researcher for ten years, having also worked on capital campaigns for the University of Toronto and University Health Network. A graduate of the Faculty of Information Studies at the University of Toronto, Suzy also holds a business degree from Ryerson. When not at work, Suzy enjoys spending time outdoors - hiking and skiing, and hanging out in her garden.

Katherine Pancuska
Katherine Pancuska is a researcher at the SickKids Foundation since January 2008. Previously, she was a Senior Research Consultant at KCI where she worked with clients in Quebec and Atlantic Canada. She is an APRA Canada Director responsible for the mentoring program. Katherine is a professional librarian and also holds an undergraduate degree in economics. She enjoys hiking, canoeing, and cross country skiing and is a volunteer with the Toronto Outdoor Club.
