Prospect Research for Planned Giving
Webinar summary: Prospect research is often associated with major gifts. What does prospect research have to do with planned giving? A lot, because planned giving donors are also major donors. Bio: Verna Chen is the Director of Stewardship and Legacy Giving at The Scarborough Hospital Foundation for the past six years; she also manages the Foundation's prospect research and prospect management program. Verna started her fundraising career as a prospect researcher at the University of Toronto many years ago. With a strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn new things, she expanded her career to stewardship and donor relations, and, three years ago, planned giving. Throughout her career progression, Verna remains a prospect researcher at heart and finds her research skills a powerful tool to fulfill her multifaceted responsibilities. Verna is a member of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners and a member of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy.
