On behalf of the APRA Canada Board I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for participating in our recent Board election. We have had a fantastic response this year both in the number of nominations we had and the number of people that took the time to vote. I am happy to share with you that Julie Linkletter, Erin Bartok and Elizabeth Rejman will be joining the Board as of November 23rd for two-year terms. Please join me in congratulating these volunteers as we embark on another busy year of APRA Canada activity.
APRA Canada News
I am delighted to share the news that two of our fellow APRA-Canada members were the recipients of prestigious awards announced at the APRA conference in Austin last week. Nominations for these awards come from members of APRA in Canada, the U.S., Europe and Australia and are judged by an international panel of APRA members. Stephanie Jonescu is the recipient of the 2011 APRA Distinguished Service Award. The Distinguished Service Award honors an individual who has enhanced both the advancement research profession and APRA through exceptional contributions beyond his/her daily paid work.
