Membership Report by Gretchen Wintermeyer

November 11, 2011

It is with great pleasure that I can report that our membership is vibrant and growing!  The current number of members in APRA Canada stands at 202.

Since July 1, 2011, 182 members have renewed their membership and 20 new members have joined our organization during this same time period.  As well, we've had 16 new members join since the start of 2011.

The APRA Board of Directors join me in extending a warm welcome to the following individual members who have joined APRA Canada since July 1, 2011:

Membership Update - Amanda Fritz

Amanda Fritz has been promoted to Development Officer, Leadership and Annual Giving at the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital, and as such is no longer responsible for prospect research.  Amanda was a prospect researcher for three years and enjoyed meeting researchers from across Canada at the APRA Conference in October 2010.  On behalf of APRA-Canada, we wish her the best of luck in her new position!

President's Update by Valerie Moore

Thanks to all those who put their names forward in our most recent Board election. It was a terrific slate of candidates this year.

I would like to congratulate Julie Linkletter, Erin Bartok and Liz Rejman on their election. Julie will continue her wonderful work on our behalf as Director, Communications. Liz will be taking on Professional Development and Erin will be working on Mentorship. Welcome Liz and Erin - we look forward to working with you.
