Reporting to Director, Major Gifts and working in collaboration with peer Research Officers, the role will support the fundraising efforts of the Major and Estate Giving team and the Foundation. This role will play a key role in preparing research products such as profiles of key individuals and organizations as well as other research duties as required. This role helps inform strategy, develop relationships, and contributes to the overall fundraising goals of The Princess Margaret.

The Business Analyst will be a key contributor in creating regular and ad hoc reports and analytical analyses to enable data-driven decision making for stakeholders across the organization. In this role, you will translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements and engage in the end-to-end analytics life cycle involving data exploration, data cleaning, data synthesis and data presentation.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Strategic Philanthropy and Donor Stewardship, the Senior Manager, Major Gifts owns a substantial revenue goal and manages a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects (25K+). We are looking for a seasoned fundraiser with the knowledge and experience to confidently and strategically contribute to the success of Development Department’s short and long-term goals through Major Gifts.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Prospect Research and Management, the incumbent provides value-added prospect research and analysis with the objective of increasing Carleton’s competitive edge in the philanthropic marketplace by supplying the information required to secure more major gifts to the University’s campus-wide and Faculty priorities. Through proactive and reactive prospect research and identification, pipeline development, media monitoring on relevant news and industry trends, and support for prospect and donor strategies, the Research Officer directly contributes to the success of the University’s fundraising objectives.

The Senior Development Officer (SDO) plays an important role in developing and stewarding Ontario Tech University relationships; in securing private sector donations; in advancing fundraising strategies and programs; and in recruiting and leading senior volunteers. The Senior Development Officer may manage Faculty specific or University wide fundraising initiatives, and special projects.

This position has significant responsibility for identifying major gift prospects and quantifying the value and potential of the donor pipeline. This research role is a key part of the team to growing philanthropic support for the University and aids in enhancing alumni engagement.
