External Relations/Conference Report

It’s a Canadian invasion at the APRA International conference!

Each year, APRA International hosts a multi-day conference packed with informative sessions on key topics, such as data analytics, prospect management, and the latest prospect research techniques.  The Conference is a great learning opportunity for researchers and a wonderful occasion to network with colleagues from around the world.

This year’s APRA International Conference is entitled “Prospect Development: Inspiring, Educating and Connecting,” and will have a strong Canadian presence.  There will be five Canadians presenting at this Conference, sharing their knowledge and expertise: Tracey Church, Janice Cunning, Izabela Piasecka-Latour, Melody Song and Liz Rejman.

Here is overview of their presentations:

Tracey will present on the hot topic of Developing a Prospect Research Strategic Plan for a Cause-Related Organization.

Izabela and Liz will share their knowledge on how to Burst the Google Search Engine Filter Bubble.

Janice will conduct a pre-conference workshop entitled Creating Success with your Values, as part of the Management and Professional Development Track.

Melody will also conduct a pre-conference workshop and it is entitled Discover Hidden Linkage with Data Visualization.

My congratulations to the presenters!  This is another great example of the incredible talent that exists amongst Canadian researchers.

The Conference will be held from  August 7 to 10 in Baltimore, Maryland.  If you are interested in attending the conference, simply visit: www.aprahome.org/2013conference for all the details.
