APRA Canada Conference Update

Plans are now underway for the 2014 Canada conference. Co-Chairs Amy and Liz are thrilled with the interest and enthusiasm from members to help organize the conference. THANK YOU so much for the following individuals who have come forward to sit on the conference organizing committee.

There are still opportunities to help: for example, Allison and Crystal (who are overseeing programming) are looking for form a sub-committee so that great topics, great session formats and great speakers are considered and secured. I suspect that if you offered to help confirm sponsors, John Hermans won’t turn you down. Sarah Marcotte, who will be coordinating on-site volunteers, will be thrilled to have a list of willing helpers in her back pocket.
Additionally, if volunteering to help organize a conference isn’t your thing, just remember that a call for presenters will be going out in the New Year – show off what you know!
Conference Location
I’ll bet everyone is impatiently wondering where the conference will be held in 2014. Earlier in the year, we conducted a survey and asked for feedback on location. It was a very tight race and based on that feedback, the committee is currently negotiating on the site location and finalizing the dates. Once those details are confirmed, the committee will make a formal announcement. Stay tuned!
