Issue 46 February 2016

By Melissa Young, Director, Membership

As a chapter, APRA Canada’s membership has remained consistent over the past year.

·         Currently we have 195 active members in the chapter, compared to 194 in 2014.

·         With membership representation from 7 provinces from various sectors within the non-profit industry.

·         We have a small presence of members from the US.

·         In 2015 we added 25 “New” members to our ranks and 151 members have renewed their memberships for this year.

·         I’m hopeful our membership will grow this year with APRA Canada’s 2016 conference in October.

APRA-Canada’s chapter is a benchmark for professionalism within prospect research, data analytics and management. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being ambassadors of APRA Canada and for being an active member.  A friendly reminder to all members the importance to keep your personal contact information up-to-date to ensure we reach you with all the wonderful benefits offered through your membership.

Goals for 2016

·         Welcome Package/Clear Communication – Create a welcome package that can be electronically sent to members upon sign/up and renewal promoting the benefits of APRA Canada membership.  Utilize this as a communication piece to communicate/market the benefits of APRA Membership. Goals 2016

·         Review current benefits/website – Review current benefits offered to existing members.  Refine and add benefits as suggested in the strategic plan (online membership directory, discounts, newsletters, promote professional development).

·         Increase Membership – Continue to work closely with the Director, External Relations to promote APRA Canada membership and it’s benefits to APRA International, other chapters and peer associations like (AFP Canada, AHP Canada, CASE (Mid-Atlantic District), CAGP, and CCAE).
