Issue 48 October 2016

Please note that the nomination submission deadline for the 2016 APRA Canada Board has been extended to Monday, November 14, 2016.

Why should you join the APRA Canada board?

It’s a chance to get more involved with APRA Canada and work with and learn from your colleagues across the country. You will also gain experience serving on the board of a non-profit association. Plus, you’ll have fun!

Each Board candidate must display a willingness to be an active participant of a working board for a term beginning in November 2016 and ending in November 2018 and must:

1.       Be an APRA-Canada member in good standing

2.       Have been an APRA-Canada member in good standing for the twelve months period preceding the nomination

3.       Be an APRA International member in good standing

4.       Have at least one year of experience in advancement research

It has always been the Board’s goal to be geographically diverse, thus we will again be seeking greater representation across geographic areas and industry sectors in Canada.

Please use the form to nominate yourself for the opening on the Board. Nominations must be sent via e-mail to Sarah Anderson at sarah.anderson@ubc.ca  no later than Monday, November, 14, 2016

All nominations received by the deadline will be reviewed to determine the slate of candidates that will be presented to the membership for a vote mid- November 2016.

If you have any questions about the Nomination process or what it’s like to serve on the APRA Canada board, please contact

Your nominations make a difference and ensure the continual development of APRA-Canada as a meaningful organization for researchers.
